All grapes are harvested by hand; no fining; after pressing, cold settling before fermentation begins; all fermentation is natural, vinified in stainless steel
95+points- "Bright golden-tinged straw-yellow. Delicate smoky sausage, guava and savory herbs on the nose. Ripe but lively, displaying a delicate mouthfeel. Not especially floral or fruity, but very precise, rich and dense on the suave, long finish. I tasted this only weeks after it had been bottled, so the wine was a little shut down, but it doesn't take much to figure out that this is a great wine in the making. Normally Boxler chooses to blend this must into the Gewürz Reserve, but this year he liked the noble-rot-affected grapes so much that he decided to make a VT wine. Improves noticeably with aeration, gaining in explosiveness and flesh. Planted in 1946 on calcaire-rich soils." Vinous
