Albert Boxler Riesling Grand Cru "Sommerberg Dudenstein"

2021
All grapes are harvested by hand and no fining. 13.80 ha. After pressing, cold settling before fermentation begins and fermentation is is all natural. Vinified in foudre.
"Boxler’s other Sommerberg bottlings, including Eckberg, come from pure granite in his home village of Niedermorschwihr. This portion of Sommerberg is technically part of the village of neighboring Katzenthal, where granite meets limestone. The Dudenstein bottling, produced only in great years, represents the pinnacle of Boxler’s wine-growing prowess and without any doubt is one of Alsace’s—and the world’s—finest Rieslings. Age it patiently and respectfully, as you would a fine Corton-Charlemagne or Chevalier-Montrachet from Burgundy." - Dixon Brooke from Kermint Lynch
